A Dog and his Boy

IMG_3336Hello People!

I am pretty tired as I just got back from a long visit at my camp in the country. The parental’s were out and about trying to  impact the world with wisdom about gluten and to speak with relevance to others using Motivational Interviewing.  We all know what happens to me if I eat even a smidgen of gluten – so I’m all about spreading the word about gluten sensitivity.

Mom was speaking to the Intertribal WIC of Arizona and at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach. Both groups help women who have diabetes and they want to learn how to truly help others with behavior change. The parentals are always trying to change my walking habits so I don’t pull the leash but I don’t think Motivational Interviewing will help me change my mind about pulling – that is something us Weims just do to annoy our owners.

The weather has been great, a little windy, with the sun out. I have been resting a lot as you can tell by the picture. I am so big and take up the chair that he has to lay on me. It’s a bit crowded but I do like the snuggles.

Till next week’s adventures!

Love

Perry

I was Left OUT!

FullSizeRenderHello People…

This weekend has been both exciting and a little frustrating.

First I met this really nice lady when Dad and I walked to pick up Mom from yoga. She is friends with William Wegman and was very excited to see me. I loved how she gave me ear rubs and the attention I so deserve.  She invited the parentals to one of his openings in a few weeks – I wonder if I’m going to get to go to that -after all, it’s all about Weims.  Mom has to go to yoga to get in her downward dogs but I don’t need a class since I do that pose everyday, and usually the first thing after getting up.  Another reason we are superior to humans!

Now about that attention I deserve…well the parental’s didn’t display this when they decided to take a little road trip to a new store, Protein for Pets, and brought home SAMPLES. What? How on earth could they venture to a place and not take me. A dog approved spot in town (well everywhere in LA seems to be dog approved so that’s not saying much) with food.

IMG_3231They did bring back a few things for me to try out which I guess was nice but I was not having it and hid from them. As you can see I went to my favorite spot, which makes Dad crazy. I crawl under the bed, but cannot get out since it’s such a small space.  When I am finally ready to come out I just lay on my side and stretch my legs out and they have to pull me out. It is brilliant and fun for me.

Even with my own PITA behavior they were loving, kind and gave me a treat, but only ONE.  I can’t understand why I can’t be like humans and eat the whole bag but maybe that’s a good thing since overeating is not good for Weims – we do have that “bloat” problem which can be quite serious.  These treats are called Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw duck medallions, which I LOVED.  Apparently they are good for “cooling” and my system needs that according to the vet.

Well the weather was nice at a warm 70 degrees with a little breeze for our walk today.

Until next time,

Perry
