Pre-Thanksgiving Treats!!

photoHello Everyone!

Things are going great…it is a warm autumn and I have been helping the parental units with all of their projects.  We have a very busy house!

However, I get a little confused as they are doing all of these recipes and it is not even Turkey day.  I overheard them talk about getting recipes together for blogs and clients.  It’s all about the Gluten Free up in here.

Then on top of it all I have had to be on my bestest behavior as there are a tons of cards and envelopes lying around and I mean EVERYWHERE.  It is Mom’s annual Thanksgiving Card that she sends out to 1000 people.  Dad took the picture of the office so it is an art project as well.

I have been really good as Mom was creating a gluten free pumpkin bar and we all know how much I LOVE pumpkin.  She had a little bit of pumpkin left over and let me lick the spoon, which made it a little better since we know its ALL about the treats!  The picture is me trying to be good waiting for my pumpkin.

Anyway, the new Gluten Free cookie book is in the final stages and will be out by cyber Monday.  I’m not happy since there is NO paper involved for me to steal and chew on – something about an eBook – silly, right?  However, I cannot wait for all of you to see my recipe and my photos – I had a photo shoot all to myself one day and of course I look like the show dog that I am!

Peace!

Training and Mindful Eating?

photoThank goodness there was no dressing up this week.  I’m not looking forward to Halloween next year except if I get some treats.  Treats are worth everything!

The parentals stepped up the training this week.  I have to wait at the door for company to come in…and then the company is instructed not to pay attention to me unless I behave.  I messed that up this week when Auntie Aurora came over.  I got a little too excited and jumped on her so off to the crate I went.

However, a day later I got to go Auntie Aurora’s house since Mom spoke at a diabetes conference.  I got to play with her and my canine friend Kobe.  We went to the dog park a few times and everyone loved me, as they should.  I overheard Aurora telling Mom the dog park it good since it tires me out but that’s okay since it’s worth the fun and all the attention I get.

Mom is trying to make me be what she calls a “mindful eater.”  Apparently I eat both my meals in under a minute.  I’m just trying to show how much I love my food but apparently she’s not buying it.  Not sure I can be trained for this one but I guess I can give it a try.

At least I’m thankful for my food and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving soon!

I’m ALMOST There

I have one more day to freedom.  My scar is healing nicely and I am driving Mom and Dad NUTS with having to lay low and be “contained” by the apparatus. Dad had to put band-aids on the controller mask since I got a little sore from wearing it.

When Dad took off the mask tonight for dinner I was a good boy and ate my little crowns which Mom calls broccoli.

After dinner I decided to bug them as much as possible and pounce on them while they are eating to get more attention.  However, I  get the most attention when I saunter by them and body slam myself to the floor.  Mom says I’ the drama King.  However, while she was writing the blog for me I put my head in her lap since I love it when she rubs my head and ears – that’s the best.  I know when to behave – it’s just whether I choose to do it.
