Perry Graduates from Puppy Kindergarten

It was such a fun day and Mom and Dad decided to give me a special new treat for my graduation.  Since I’m not allowed to go to a steak house yet, Mom gave me some Z-Filets from Zuke’s that she got at the Food Show she went to a month ago. Boy, I sure loved them.  They are tasty and I wanted to eat the whole pack.  Mom especially liked them since they are high in protein and have few ingredients – Dad calls her the protein woman.

At Kindergarten today I was such a good dog and played nice with all my friends – Primrose, Oliver, Mochi, Fred, and Ginger.  I will miss them but hopefully I’ll get to see them in Puppy Kindergarten 2.   When I got home, I was so excited I needed to be tethered for a time out and I decided to show them.  I chewed through my brand new Aspen pet premier dog leash.  Mom was pretty upset at me and told me I better not chew through my 30 foot training leash she bought me.

I got another time out tonight so you know what I did when I was good and finally got out?  I decided to rip my bedding out of my crate and show them whose boss cause I’m the Puppy of the House!  Maybe tomorrow I’ll be good and get some more treats!

Hard week at home with parents and housework

I am sad I’ve been off the radar this week.  Mom was so busy finishing up her baby book that she could not blog for me – can’t believe she spent so much time on that little thing – after all, I’M the BABY of the family and she should be paying attention to ME!!!

Dad was cleaning a lot this week since the house was dusty and I decided he finally needed some help as well.  After all that hard work I decided to take a nap with my toys and of course Mom interrupted me with her picture-taking again – seems like I have to train these parents of mine as to MY needs – alright already!

Perry checks out the Ladies on the Block

Once again they think taking me for a little walk around the block is going to calm me down.  Little do they know that just gets me started.  I’ve been seeing a few dogs that look just like me in our neighborhood.  So you know what?  I’m going to start my own club and see how many Weimaraner’s I can find.

Mom put on my blue controller attached to my Premier collar which I am quickly outgrowing, cause I’m becoming such a big dog and we were out the door.

As we were walking to the end of the block, I saw this cute girl with Cleopatra eyes.  Mom started talking to her Mom and found out her name was Luna.  Boy, was she lovely!  I got a chance to play with Luna and so far she’s my favorite!

She’s a bit older than me but I think I prefer the older type.  Daddy calls her a cougar.  Here I am trying to give her a little kiss but she was a bit shy.  Apparently she doesn’t kiss on the first date.  That’s okay – I can’t wait to go on another walk and see her tomorrow.  Perhaps, these walks aren’t bad after all.  My Mom says 30 minutes of walking per day is good for your health but I don’t care so much about that – I just want to play and see what my neighborhood has to offer.

I LOVE to Chew

I don’t differentiate – I love to chew whatever I get my paws on and they are getting VERY big!  Mom is a becoming concerned at how rapidly I am gaining weight since I’m now at 26 pounds!

Mom tried a few things to get me to stop biting.  First she tried Yuck for dogs and I LOVED it – licked it off wherever she sprayed it on.  The nice man at the Pet store took it back and let her exchange it for Tropiclean chew deterrent whatever that means – I’m not sure what one I loved more but they both tasted great to me.  I think they gave up finding another one since they let me chew on a box that their book A Recipe for Life came in and here I am with it!!

My New Puppy Treats

Not that I deserve any treats today since I was out of control most of the day but Mom caved.  This nice lady named Amy sent me some special treats today called Holistix – healthy dogs treats made with cranberries, apple and blueberries – she tells me I’m getting my antioxidants – anti what?

I got to the bag before her and again she snapped a picture of me as I was trying to get one – they sure are yummy.  Mom tried to make me behave while she was typing out this blog for me since I have not learned how to type yet.  She had hidden one of the biscuits on the desk and before she knew it I jumped up and got it without her knowing – too bad she took it away and I got a time out.  Hopefully I can get another one before bed….

Puppy Perry LOVES his Vitamins and Omega 3’s

My Dad hates to take his vitamins and fish oil – Mom always reminds him and he gives her a look….but I LOVE my vitamins.  After Mom gets home from the gym I wait and wait till she starts making her breakfast cause I know I’ll get them if I’m good.

I heard she tells her patients to get all their omega 3’s I think called ALA, DHA, and EPA but I don’t care.  I just like to lick the lemon fish oil off the spoon and chew up the yummy vitamin.  She made me pose with them both – Carlson lemon fish oil and NuVet Plus.  I’m so sick of posing and who knows what she want to take a picture of next…..

Perry’s Paul Newman’s Peanut Butter Treats are the BEST

I love Paul Newman’s Peanut Butter Treats – in fact I love them SO much I am calling them PPPT’s – Perry’s Paul Newman’s Peanut Butter Treats.  Mom keeps them on the top counter and I’ve been jumping up to try to snag them and this morning I SCORED!  I ran with them to my comfy bed and tried to eat as many as I could before THEY caught me.

Mom interrupted me and Dad was trying to take a picture – they are so annoying sometimes – why can’t I just enjoy my treats in peace?!  Parents!

I should be able to eat as many as I want since I overheard Mom saying they have great clean ingredients which are important for me since I’m a growing puppy.  Hopefully I can have more tomorrow – I guess I might have to behave since that is the only time I get treats…but I’m growing so I might reach the top of the counter soon without having to jump so watch out….

Perry Loves Food, Bushes, Dirt, Gravel….

My most favorite thing to do in the world is EAT!  Food is my best friend and I guess that is why my Mom selected me since she deals with food.  I’m hoping I get to try some new treats this week.

My second favorite thing to do is get in the bushes, eat gravel and dirt.  Mom and Dad are always taking things out of my mouth.  When I eat something in the yard all of a sudden I hear yelling.  I try to run away but someone always catches up with me and grabs my mouth and pulls out whatever I have in there – can’t imagine why…I’m just being a puppy.

BIG day with Mom

After puppy kindergarten yesterday Dad had to go to work and Mom decided she was going to try to tire me out and solve a few of my “behavior” issues.  I love being in the car but I only want to be on Mom and Dad’s lap and for some reason this is not okay with them.  Something about having an accident?

So Mom went to her favorite Pet Store GotPetFood to buy me some new food AND figure out a way to control me in the car.  On the way over she made me sit in my seat – bribing me the whole way with treats and the clicker which tells me I’m being good.  She gave one of my new treats the Happy Heart chicken Breast but I showed her – I finished it by the end of the driveway.

At the pet store the nice man Jesus helped Mom try to find another controller thingy for the car.  Since I am growing so fast they decided on the one for large dogs called the AutoZipLine  – it has a few controller things to make me behave since Mom and Dad drive different cars.  Mom put the harness vest on me for her car and it MADE me sit there – I finally gave up and layed down so Mom decided to take me to the Doggy open house at the ISaidSit place.  The nice man Jonathan helped Mom with a few leash ideas for me.

I had been there before and I LOVE it there since all the humans there fawn over me.  Mom and Dad mentioned I am the most popular one  – something neither one of them ever experienced.  They had all kinds of fun treats and things for me to play with.  I got some “doggie swag” Paul Newman’s Dog treats which I also LOVE – I can’t seem to get enough treats so it just for that it was worth coming.  I also got a few other new treats and foods but Mom said I could try those later since I’d had enough for today.  I came home and crashed but not before Mom had to take a picture of me in my new harness- it’s hard being me but I do have a good life here and hopefully I can ride this wave of good blessings….

Old Man Perry has another day in Puppy Kindergarten

I go to puppy kindergarten and learn the commands in one or two tries and then I’m done – bored and want to move on to the next thing.  My Mom and Dad are really holding me back.  They are the ones who need kindergarten since they don’t know the commands very well and get easily confused.  I remember they had a cat named George so this is all new to them.  I really belong in college but I heard that may not be an option for me since it is a lot of money.

I did help clean this week by taking all the paper stuff outside and shredding it for Mom.  I made it look like snow in the back yard. They don’t think I saw them laughing at me but I know cause I’m a smart dog.

Dad was sick this week so I got to lounge with him and now I’m a bit spoiled and decided to whine when I go into my metal cage – hopefully they will take me out but  I heard they are on to me…
